Get Ahead on Back-to-School Immunizations

Student walking to school wearing a backpack. To make the back-to-school immunizations process easier for parents, our nurses are traveling to local schools from now until mid-April.

Between shopping for school supplies, adjusting to new routines, and ensuring students are caught up on back-to-school immunizations, the end of summer can be a hectic time for many families.

To make the back-to-school immunizations process easier for parents of incoming 8th and 12th-grade students, our nurses are traveling to Eastern Jackson County schools from now until mid-April.

Nurses will provide required immunizations (Tdap and MCV4) during school hours, so students can conveniently receive their vaccines and parents can save a trip. Some schools may also provide optional immunizations (MenB and HPV). Your child’s school will provide information on which back-to-school immunizations will be offered on what dates, as well as how to sign up.

We’re visiting schools in these areas:

Raytown

Grain Valley

Lee's Summit

Fort Osage

Oak Grove

Blue Springs

Most insurance plans are accepted. If your plan is not accepted, contact your insurance provider to verify your out-of-network benefits. If you do not have insurance, there will be a flat $20 administration fee per child. This fee is payable online when you register your child by using the link provided by their school nurse.

Looking for other options? Parents and guardians are always welcome to schedule an appointment for your child’s back-to-school immunizations at our location in Lee’s Summit. Plus, join our email list or follow us on social media to stay updated on announcements for other mobile clinics.
