    Opioid Facts & Resources

    In Missouri, the number of non-heroin opioid overdose deaths nearly tripled between 2016 and 2021. More recently, there’s been a sharp increase in overdose deaths involving a synthetic opioids – fentanyl, xylazine, and others.

    Even tiny amounts of these substances can be fatal.

    The best way to stay safe is to stay informed and know what resources are available to help!

    In Jackson County, 1 in 5 drug overdose deaths are kids under age 15. It’s never too early to talk to your kids about the dangers of drug use.
