Wondering if your child is using the right car seat? Not sure that you’re installing a seat correctly? Our Child Passenger Safety Technicians are trained to make sure your child is safely buckled up.
We provide free:
- Car seat installation and help
- Checks for proper car seat installation
- Information and education on child passenger safety for all ages
- Information and education on Safe Sleep for babies

Eastern Jackson County residents who meet eligibility requirements may qualify for a free car seat and/or pack ‘n play. Fill out this form to apply for the program. Car seat appointments are interactive and last approximately 30 minutes. Safe Sleep classes to receive a pack n’ play are approximately one hour. Filling out an application does not guarantee a car seat and/or pack ‘n play.
