Your health matters—no questions asked. That’s why JCPH is proud to introduce Bluebox, a new kind of vending machine stocked with free health and wellness supplies, available 24/7.

What is a Bluebox?
Bluebox is a self-serve vending machine that provides health items—anonymously and free of charge. Each Bluebox is customized to meet specific community needs. Here’s what you’ll find at our very first Bluebox in downtown Lee’s Summit:
- Naloxone (Narcan): nasal medication to reverse an opioid overdose; box contains two doses
- Fentanyl test trips: pack of 10 fentanyl test strips, instructions included; detects fentanyl in pills, powder, and liquid
- Medication lock bag: safe storage for household medications; includes two identical keys

First aid kit: adhesive bandages, sting relief pads, prep pads, tape, and gauze

Wound care kit: gloves, gauze, dressing, wrap, saline, cleaning and prep wipes, and ointment
- Hand sanitizer: gel hand sanitizer with clip
- Flu/COVID-19 tests: two combined flu/COVID-19 A/B home test kits, instructions, KN-95 masks, and hand sanitizer
- Period products: pads and tampons

Condoms: pack of 10 assorted condoms (latex and non-latex)
- Hygiene kits: shampoo, shaving cream, body wash, bar soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, shaving razor, comb, nail file, and cotton swabs
- Sunscreen/lip balm: mineral sunscreen (SPF 30) and coconut-scented lip balm (SPF 15)

Socks: one pair of crew socks, size large
How It Works
Bluebox is simple to use — no ID, no cost, no judgment. Just what you need, when you need it.
- Walk up to a Bluebox. Our first machine is located at Downtown Lee’s Summit’s public parking garage (200 SE Green St; Lee’s Summit, MO 64063).
- Select the items you need from the touchscreen menu.
- Receive your items instantly—no registration required. It’s that easy.

Free naloxone kits are available at JCPH and in the community!
In addition to Bluebox, JCPH offers free naloxone access points in many locations throughout Eastern Jackson County.
