Getting your annual flu shot helps keep you healthy & strong all season long.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone six months of age and older (with rare exceptions) get a flu shot before flu season is in full swing. Don’t wait for winter weather — September and October are optimal times to be vaccinated against the flu.
We offer flu shots by appointment at the health department, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. Click the button below to schedule!

Stop in our front lobby during business hours (Mon.-Fri., 8 am to 4 pm) to pick up your free test kits & masks! These at-home tests detect COVID-19 as well as Flu A/B, and instructions are included in both English and Spanish. For more on how to test and what to do if you’re positive, consult our quick guide.
If you picked up a COVID-19 and Flu A/B test kit from JCPH on or before 12/3/2025, please note the FDA recently extended the expiration date from 12/3/2025 to 9/1/2026. If you have a different brand of COVID-19 or Flu test kit at home, please check the FDA’s guide to verify the expiration date.
